The BJP minority cell today distributed fruits among the rozedaars and the poor. The mayor of the Medinirai municipal corporation Aruna Shankar gave away fruits on the request of the BJP minority cell.
Vice president of the BJP minority cell Sardar Bhupender Singh said "It was our small but positive gesture towards the rozedaars and the poor to have fruits. We got it done by our mayor Aruna Shankar."
Sources said the Panki riot in the month of February has broadened the divide between the two communities which is still fanned by the fanatics.
The BJP minority cell moving two steps forward is trying to melt the ice between the two communities and the fruit distribution today was a kind of cementing the hiatus between the two communities, said sources.
