lashing out rival Congress and JMM, Chief Minister Raghubar Das in an election rally at Kasmar of Gomia termed the BJP akin to development and known for providing responsible governance.
He on the occasion reminded about several projects meant for infrastructure undertaken under the present dispensation.
“Only corruption has taken place in the last 14 years in the field of electricity before we came to power. We focused on strengthening transmission lines, sub-station, etc all over the State which would help us in achieving complete electrification of all 32000 villages of Jharkhand in 2018. BJP always works tirelessly for a Government responsible to the people,” said the CM on Sunday campaigning for party nominee Madhav lal Singh, a former congressman, for the bypoll.
He also referred to recent political drama taken place in Karnataka and alleged that the Congress was playing negative politics in the name of stopping the BJP.
“Congress is the mother of all corruption over a period of time. They should answer why villages are still awaiting power, drinking water, road and other facilities despite 60 years of Congress rule. Now they are coming together with likeminded parties just to stop Modi and the BJP. What kind of politics is thisIJ” said the CM who however spared coalition partner AJSU that has fielded lambodar Mahto from the seat.
JMM along with Congress, JVM and other parties into the Opposition camp have come together for bypolls slated for Gomia and Silli.
The CM on the occasion tried to convince voters to vote for the BJP keeping in mind long term development goal of the constituency as well as of the State into mind.
“You are not going to elect just an MlA for Gomia on May 28 but future of the place and the State. Your constituency and State can be developed only under the BJP not by those who did only corruption during last 14 years. We have presented a corruption free Government so far after coming to power,” said Das.
The CM used the opportunity also to count some of the schemes underway for providing piped drinking water to villages with the help of district mineral fund.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi after coming to power made provision of sharing mining revenue with DMF which is to be used for the development of locals only. We have come with Rs 9000 crore scheme for drinking water only out of this. By 2021 not a single village of the State would be left out of the scheme,” assured the CM.
He also talked about naxal issue and warned the outlawed for their activities before claiming that Gomia and other places of the State have seen considerable improvement in law and order situation in recent time.
