BJP leader for containing stray animals, better garbage disposal

Stray dogs, pigs and cattle in streets in Daltonganj have rendered the lives of the denizens miserable. Menace of street dogs has put safety of children in street at risk as the bunch try to pounce upon the hapless child if alone.

An incident of a two year old child came in light when he had a miraculous escape from the bunch of street dogs on the bank of the river Koyal. Pigs are too many in the town where as per conservative estimate their number is around 250 to 300.

Kishore Kumar Pandey BJP leader who has been raising civic issues said, “It is the duty of the Medininagar Nagar Parishad now upgraded to be called as corporation to contain the number of street dogs and keep at bay pigs and stray cattle in streets in the town.”

Pandey said, “There is no concern for it. One hears the demand of anti rabies injections every now and then and people complain of its lack in government hospitals but there is none asking for castration of street dogs to limit their population in the town.”

On being asked that more than a dozen people both men and women are vowing to contest the coming corporation election but none has time to tell the voters as to what they plan to do for the town here Pandey said, “This is their lack of vision.  Small things like keeping streets free of cattle, dogs, pigs will have good impact on lives of the people here.”Pandey said, “Majority of people are interested in schemes worth lakhs and lakhs but are unmindful of the simpler amenities of civic life.

Garbage disposal everyone wants but no one knows these garbage can be re cycled also to help environment,” he said.Piles of garbage of Daltonganj town are dumped 10 Kms away at Magar Dhaha on the state highway connecting Daltonganj to Garhwa but at the dumping site it is the same most unhygienic look and bad odor. Pandey said at the dumping site more plantations may be done to contain the ill effects of garbage dump.
