Ruling party in the State Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Tuesday, once again attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that the party is treacherously spreading confusion and hate among followers of Jain religion. JMM said that BJP should apologise for this before the Jain community.

Addressing a press meet at the party headquarter in the State Capital, JMM General Secretary and Spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that BJP is hatching conspiracy against Chief Minister, Hemant Soren led State Government on National level so that image and reputation of the Government could get maligned in the eyes of Jain community and other minorities. He said that the party will let them succeed in their malicious effort which they have been trying since the formation of the Government three years ago.

Showing some documents of former Chief Minister, Raghubar Das’ tenure, Bhattacharya said the Department Sports, Culture and Tourism passed a gazette in February 2019 in which Madhuban and Parasnath area of Giridih district was notified as tourism place, BJP State Chief, Deepak Prakash and former Chief Minister, Babulal Marandi should clarify that whose Government notified the area as tourist place. JMM is also asking the National media that without any fact how they are running the news and spreading confusion among people of the Country, today a large number of Jain followers are protesting on the streets across the Country so that BJP should clarify this and apologize before the Jain community, he added.

The party General Secretary further said that in Palitana of Gujrat, which is also a big pilgrimage of Jain community, just some days earlier vandalism took place in December last year. BJP is hatching a conspiracy against all minority communities in the entire Country, he added.

“The Chief Minister vowed before a delegation of Jain community met in December, 2022 that the State Government will put its all effort for the sanctity and purity of Sammed Ji Shikhar situated in Parasnath of the State and the State Government will put its best in this direction. In December 2022 the District administration of Giridih issued an order to keep the sanctity and purity of the holy place that trade and consumption of meat and wine will be completely prohibited in the area,” said Bhattacharya.
