Former Jharkhand Minister and JMM founding-member Simon Marandi, JVM leader Dulal Bhiyan and former JD-U State president Gopal Krishna Pater alias Raja Peter and former Deputy Mayor of Ranchi Ajay Nath Shahdeo were the new entrants in the BJP as the saffron party is witnessing a long queue of aspiring entrants.
The heavyweights along with several others, including Ex-MlA Gulshan lal Ajmani joined and hundreds of their supporters joined the BJP on Sunday. Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda welcoming the new comers called it a good sign as people have started thinking about the welfare of Jharkhand and getting attracted towards the positive steps taking by the BJP in this regard making the organisation stronger.
“After getting a bitter experience of being in the government for some time, I felt that development could not be brought without having a stable government in the State. Hence I and the people of Tamad (Assembly constituency of Raja Peter) decided that our prime motive should be to bring stability by bringing a stable government in Jharkhand,” said Pater and explained his step a small one in the direction of providing a stable Government in the State.
Pater marched towards the BJP office with thousands of supporters dancing on the tunes of traditional drums and trumpets shouting slogans in favour of Pater and BJP.
Marandi, who also joined the BJP with his supporters from Santhal Pargana, claimed that no other political party could stand before Narendra Modi in the coming elections. “I support the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and policies of BJP and would like to tell all of you that I will take the BJP flag to each and every village of Santhal Pargana giving a befitting answer to those which you people are afraid of,” said Marandi indicating towards JMM supremo and considered strongman in the region Shibu Soren.
Shahdeo, who has unsuccessfully contested bye-election on JVM’s ticket, called it an significant day of his life. “The BJP is an important platform to serve the masses and if policies and intentions of any party are not clear, it becomes impossible for anybody to deliver. I can say proudly that the BJP is the only party which has clear and transparent policies and intentions due to which people of the country have expressed great faith by giving it a roaring majority in the centre. It has been proved that only Modi can run this country,” said Shahdeo.
Shahdeo also requested the senior party leaders to take maximum contribution of the youth power in the party to ensure clear majority in coming Assembly elections. The former Jugsalai MlA Dulal Bhuiyan however, said he had joined the JVM with great expectation after serving Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for 25 years. But the JVM failed to live up to the expectations of the people. “I am joining the party because Jharkhand could only be saved by Narendra Modi and Arjum Munda,” Bhuiyan added.
Former Speaker CP Singh also welcoming the newcomers said that the party will take care of their honour and prestige of all who are joining it. “The way people are joining the party, I doubt that anybody will be left in the other parties,” said Singh. When asked why JVM Chief is not inducted in the party, Singh said “Marandi ji is a self styled leader. let him remain positioned at his place.”
Munda addressing the gathering of people coming from different parts of the state expected that those joining the party on the day of Raksha Bandhan will try to protect the interests of mothers’ sisters and daughters of the State. “The dream of giving a stable government to the people of this State will only be fulfilled by the BJP in the coming Assembly elections,” said Munda. BJP wants prosperity for each and every family of this county which will be possible only after the villages are made stronger,” Munda added.
