The State BJP leadership has attacked the Hemant Soren government over deteriorating law and order situation in State. State BJP president Deepak Prakash and BJP legislative party leader Babulal Marandi holding a press conference at party office slammed Soren government for rising incidents of rape, murder, dacoity and other incidents.

The two leaders raising the High Court comment over Giridih incidents demanded a probe over the incident. They claimed that the party had earlier demanded a probe over the incident but the State government had rejected it. However, the High Court raised the issue vindicated the party's stand.

Marandi raising the issue said that the High Court has raised questions over the government, which was trying to save the culprits. Demanding a probe over the Giridih incident the BJP leader said that the DSP and police station officer in-charge should be suspended.

Marandi demanded that an SIT should be formed to investigate the case and the family members of the victim should be provided security and government job.

A minor girl was raped and was later set on fire on March 30 in Rajdhanwar of Giridih district.

The police in the case neither arrested the culprits nor sent the swab on time for investigation, raising serious anomalies in the police probe, said Marandi.

Also speaking on the occasion, State BJP president Deepak Prakash raising state crime figures said that from January to July, 161 incidents of dowry deaths, 16 witchcraft murders and on an average  5 rapes are taking place daily. Prakash sought an explanation from the Chief Minister on the issue and public apology.
