BJP favours job policy, not domicile rule

State BJP president Ravindra Rai has reiterated that people of Jharkhand need an effective employment policy instead of domicile policy, being demanded by several organisations of the State.

Rai, while counting on the achievements of the BJP-led NDA Government in the State, added that Raghubar Government has also achieved a grand success in checking Naxal related incidents in the last one year.

“I agree locals of Jharkhand should be given priority in Government jobs and their interests must be protected, but simultaneously I expect people’s discretion in the selection of words in this regard. I believe that the interest of people could be saved through an effective employment policy in the State,” said Rai.

“Employment policy instead of domicile policy is more practical in the given circumstances and the Government must take positive steps in this regard,” Rai added.

According to Rai, even after 15 years of Jharkhand formation, efforts are being made by some people to disturb the social harmony in the State. He also alleged that such people want to keep some of the burning issues alive to create disturbances for their own political motive.

Rai claimed that people’s interest will be protected in Jharkhand as was done by the BJP led Governments in Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand. “Those who are trying to create controversy over the issue, their intentions are not clear,” said Rai.

lauding the work of Raghubar Government, he said that Jharkhand, is now being counted among the politically stable States in the country.

“Earlier, Maoists used to run after the police, but now police is after them. Scenario has changed in the last one year where several Maoists have surrendered before the police. Rest of them are either being arrested or being countered,” Rai said. The current Government has also succeeded in checking organised crime being committed by various groups in the State, he added.

More than 70-80 per cent voting in the remote areas during the recent Panchayat elections itself is a proof of widespread awareness among the people. It also proves that people’s faith in democracy has further increased in the state, said Rai.
