BJP discusses Shah visit plan

Published on:

BJP State Core Committee members, senior leaders and office-bearers sat on Wednesday to discuss and give final touches to the schedule of meetings with party national president Amit Shah during his three-day visit to State from September 14.

Though the party didn’t divulge much about minutes of the meeting, a senior party leader present in the meeting said that nothing except meetings with Shah was discussed during the meeting.

However, sources also said that the meeting in which all senior leaders, including Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Union ministers Sudarshan Bhagat and Jayant Sinha, former Chief Minister and senior party leader Arjun Munda, State BJP president laxman Gilua, party MlAs and others were present, spent little time discussing about programmes to be held during celebration of 1,000 days of the BJP in power in State, too.

Shah is expected to meet with all ministers, local senior leaders and other stakeholders with some 20 such sittings to discuss ways of grabbing all 14 lok Sabha constituencies in next polls. He is expected to arrive in capital city on September 14 evening and leave on 17 evening.

“The Committee discussed about meetings and minutes of meetings with Shah during his three-day visit here in State. Actually he will be here in Ranchi when nation celebrates birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, so he is expected to attend few programmes for that occasion too. We have finalized and sent a final schedule to our central office in Delhi and will follow whatever is approved from there,” said General Secretary and MlA Anant Ojha after the core committee meeting concluded in the party office.

Shah will hold late night meetings on both September 15 and 16.
