BJP demands expulsion of Pradeep Yadav

Amid cross-party mud-slinging over Assembly disruptions by the Opposition during ongoing Budget session, ruling BJP general secretary Deepak Prakash on Sunday demanded JVM of expulsion of its senior MlA Pradeep Yadav from Party.

In a press conference organised at State BJP office, Prakash said that the Best MlA awardee Yadav insulted democracy by calling state executive machinery ‘shoes’.

Notably, Yadav on Saturday whirled shoes in Assembly while demanding removal of top bureaucrats from their posts and was expressing anguish over incumbent Chief Secretary Rajabala Verma conduct inside the officers’ box a day before. “Either JVM Chief Babulal Marandi should expel Pradeep Yadav from the party, or Yadav should himself resign from Assembly and get out,” said Prakash. The ruling party also reminded the Opposition of a speech by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in lok Sabha in which he had said that there should be verbal interruptions in House, but no disruptions.

“Today all Opposition parties are getting away with traditions and dignity of the House and stopping government to work. Even question Hour in which matters or public interests are raised and issues resolved is being disrupted. This is sheer insult to the parliamentary democracy and public of the State which mandated NDA led by the BJP to serve the State,” said Prakash.

He added that the government was moving ahead with its development agenda in State which the opposition parties are finding difficult to counter. “Budget session is the most important session of the year in which the government presents accounts of development. But it seems that the opposition has lost faith in communication, that is why it has gone far ahead with disruptive activities,” charged Prakash where State BJP Spokespersons Praveen Prabhakar and Deendayal Barnwal along with Media Incharge Shivapoojan Pathak were also present.
