Urban Development and Housing Department Minister, CP Singh today claimed that the BJP is quite confident of emerging victorious in the upcoming elections. “BJP as a party works on the plank of development and we deliver on the promises we make. We have a 100 per cent chance of winning the RMC election”, CP Singh said addressing media persons during a press conference here on Friday.
On the tiff between Asha lakra and the Sanjeev Vijaywargiya, Singh said that both are different human beings and can have a difference of opinions. He further added, “We are happy that both of them have resolved their difference and have agreed to work, keeping the party objectives in mind.” At the conference, he outlined the major initiatives undertaken for urban development. He said that in the last financial year a total of Rs 3114.34 cr was allotted to the urban development and housing department and 92 per cent of the fund (2859.51 cr) have been spent on developmental purposes.
Singh came down heavily on Babulal Marandi for not working in an appropriate manner during his tenure. He accused Marandi for making promises to the people and not delivering on them. According to him, the JVM leader promised all the footpath vendors and hawkers to build a supermarket, but failed miserably. “Unlike our opposition, we have undertaken many initiatives for the people. The under-construction supermarket for the hawkers will be readied soon,” he added.
