BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive here on Friday on a three-day visit of the State during which he will hold parleys with party officials, MlAs, Ministers, cadres, different sections of societies, traders and common men.
His tour will begin with garlanding Bhagwan Birsa Munda statue at Birsa Chowk here and kick-starting Swachhta Hi Sewa programme. The programme which will run till October 2 sees cleanliness campaigns, medical camp and sapling plantation drives across the State. Shah will address a gathering in the evening at RIMS where he will unveil complete life literature of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
Inauguration of Gareeb Kalyan Mela at Harmu Maidan is scheduled to be a major programme on second day of Shah’s visit where he will launch couple of programmes for the poor in State. He will visit native village of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Ulihatu in Khunti district on third day of his visit where he will see kin of Munda and is expected to have lunch with them after addressing a gathering.
Shah is scheduled to meet with Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) representatives before he leaves for Delhi on Sunday.
Meanwhile, State BJP has denied Opposition party’s charges of sheer wastage of taxpayers’ money on Shah’s visit. Party MP and general secretary Sunil Kumar Singh said that such charges were baseless and untenable.
“BJP national president is not going to even stay at State Guest House and he will be staying in party headquarters only. Moreover, the charges have been thrown by the party (Congress), which has destroyed the nation with scam after scam. So, I don’t have to say anything on their charges. But I must assure that there is no use of Government funds at any stage of Shah’s visit,” said Singh where party State Spokesperson JB Tubid and others were also present.
“Entire programme of Shah has been planned in a way which not only strengthens party workers’ base in the State, but also takes party’s concept to the next level of following words of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya to bring development bandwagon to the poorest of the poor. The party has decided to celebrate Upadhyaya’s birth centenary as Gareeb Kalyan varsh this year and visit of Shah, who is on the journey of visiting every corner of the country in 110 days, will not only take the discourse further but will help people understand what exactly government and party has been doing for the poor,” said Singh.
