BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda is following his predecessor Amit Shah’s expansion model, preparing a nationwide tour starting with visit to Bengal which is going to poll next year. Nadda, after reviewing party’s election preparations in Bengal, will be in Jharkhand.

The BJP national president will visit Jharkhand in first week of January, starting his tour on January 3. During his three-day tour to Jharkhand, the BJP national president as part of his ‘pravas’ will make night halts in Ranchi, hold meeting with booth committee members, members from different morchas and prakastosh (cells), apart from meeting parliamentarians and legislators.

A senior BJP leader requesting anonymity said, “The BJP president JP Nadda is following the footsteps of his predecessor Amit Shah. Shah introduced a practice under which he used to visit states which were not even going for polls. Shah developed the long term plan and programme for polls which yielded positive results in state assembly elections.”

“Nadda is following the same mantra. The Saffron party under the leadership of JP Nadda made first electoral victory in Bihar last month after he took charge as BJP president in January this year. In Bihar the NDA not only beat the anti incumbency heat but the BJP emerged as big brother in alliance.”

The BJP president who constituted his central team recently made two vice presidents from State. Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Koderma MP Annapurna Devi were made the vice presidents in the new team. Moreover, it is said that BJP state president Deepak Prakash is said to be close to Nadda.

State BJP spokesperson, Pradeep Sinha said, “Nadda during his three day tour to State will hold series of meetings with booth committee members, members of seven morchas, which includes farmers’ morcha, minority morcha and women’s morcha among others.” He will also meet members of different cells and issue necessary guidelines about strengthening party at grass-root levels.

Meanwhile, the state BJP has started preparation for constituting the cells and morchas which are yet too constituted. Sources said that the party is yet to constitute morchas and cells appointing office bearers.

Apart from constituting the morchas and cells, the party is also going to prepare a report card on one year of Hemant Soren government. The BJP in the report card is to highlight the promises made by Grand Alliance parties in their election manifesto and the failure of Soren government.

The party is going to highlight the failure of Soren government in providing jobs to five lakh youths, stopping welfare schemes initiated by Raghubar Das government such as discontinuing ‘Mukhya Mantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana’ (MMKAY) under which farmers were to get Rs 5000 per acre, Re I registration of property by women among others.
