BJP charges JMM of making false promises

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo on Friday said to come to power, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha made false promises to the people of Jharkhand. As soon as they came to power, they forgot these promises.

They had promised to immediately implement the promises made in the manifesto. But despite the passage of one and a half years, even today the recruitment policy has not been made, due to which lakhs of youth are deprived of employment.

“A promise was made to provide self-employment to 10 youths in every Panchayat by connecting them to the Panchayati Raj Scheme. Every poor family was promised Rs 72,000 per year, Rs 2,000 per month for stove expenses and free electricity for irrigation. Nothing is known about them either,” he said.

Shahdeo said there was also a promise to open drug de-addiction centers in every block and provide free plots to the landless.

Apart from this, there was also a promise to provide free education to all the daughters from primary to PhD and to provide free drinking water to the poor living in the city.

There was also talk of supplying water by laying a pipeline from the Ganges river in Santhal Pargana.

Nothing was done on these too, he said.

“As soon as they came to power, their priorities changed and now it has become a priority for them to protect illegal trade and getting-setting,” he added.

Pratul said even on the issue of vaccination, the State government did not discharge its role properly. Nor did it provide the correct data to the Central Government on time. Due to which there was a shortage of vaccines in the State. To hide its mistake, the State Government is also blaming the Centre for this, which is unfortunate, he said.
