BJP challenges Hemant Soren for open debate on Mandal Dam

Published on:

State BJP spokesman Pratul Shahdeo on Saturday said that Hemant Soren's visit to Palamu was set on the basis of lies. He said that Hemant Soren has tried to spread misconception among the masses on the issue of Mandal Dam. Shahdeo said that Hemant Soren has made a wrong statement that the Mandal Dam will affect the people of 30 villages of Jharkhand, whereas the truth is that people of only 8 villages will be affected. He said Hemant's statement is baseless that Jharkhand will have no benefit from the dam. On the contrary it is expected to give annual profit of 100 million during kharif crop season in the State. Shahdeo challenged Hemant for a public debate and said that on the issue of Mandal Dam a debate can be done at any public place. A divisional level worker of the BJP is also able to debate on this matter. Pratul said that today, Hemant Soren, who has begun shedding tears on the interests of Adivasi origin, should tell that why he did not define the local policy during his tenure? Why did he make it difficult for tribal people here by implementing the method of CSAT in the JPSC examination? Why did the JPSC reduce the weightage of local languages? In reality Jharkhand Mukti Morcha does not want to develop the tribal people here and only wants to use them as vote bank, he said.
