On the occasion of 94th birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the State BJP celebrated the day as Good Governance Day.
It is our aim to make Jharkhand of Vajpayee’s dreams, said Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday while paying tributes to the leader at party headquarter in Ranchi.
While remembering the former PM, Das said that Vajpayee was the creator of the State. “Experiencing pain of locals and tribal people, when he came to power he formed Jharkhand as a separate State. The former PM wanted integrated and all round development of Jharkhand where no one lives with hunger, illiteracy and fear,” he added.
While applauding the work done by Vajpayee, the CM said, “Vajpayee has special affection for tribes. He constituted a separate ministry for tribal affairs. The credit goes to him to include Santhali language in Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
He never compromised with the self respect of the nation. Launching prestigious schemes like Prime Minister Village Road Scheme, Golden Quadrilateral Scheme Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the PM added village and poor with development whereas lifted self-respect of the country by Pokharan Atomic Test.” Informing the future plan of the State government Das said, “In the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the State government would jointly execute the concept of Antyodya. The Jharkhand government is also running welfare schemes for development of tribal and locals. The government is ensuring study of Olachiki languages in schools.”
Das greeted all resident of the State on the eve of Christmas especially Christian community and he also requested to spread messages of Jesus Christ.
While paying tribute to Vajpayee, BJP General Secretary Dhrmapal Singh said, no one was enemy of late former PM. He has converted governance into good governance. The BJP is celebrating his birth anniversary as good governance day.
Speaking on the occasion the BJP Kisan Morcha president Jyotireshawar Singh said, the personality of Vajpayee is always exemplary and noteworthy.
