The State BJP unit has blamed State Government for Nirsa mines mishap. State BJP president Deepak Prakash targeting the state government said that there is open loot of state mines and minerals in State at the behest of government machinery.

“Mafia, middlemen are running the government. The Eastern Coal Field Limited kept giving information about illegal mining repeatedly to the government machinery, but on the directions of the mafia and middlemen, the administrative system remained deaf,” said Prakash. The notice was returned bypassing the order of ECL. The police administration was engaged in loot and recovery. He said that if the orders of ECL had been followed, many lives would have been saved today. This is a case of corruption spread in the State government.

Prakash said that like Nirsa, a particular racket has got the freedom to loot in the entire state. Illegal mining of sand, coal and other mineral wealth continues at the behest of the State government. Illegal mining is being done at the behest of Congress JMM and RJD workers. They are busy filling their treasury by damaging the government treasury. This government is busy in making Jharkhand hollow. If the freedom of open loot is not stopped, many ill-effects will come. He said that the scale of development of the State government has been filling its own pockets.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the mines mishap at Nirsa rose to five after the completion of rescue work. Cops also constituted a special investigating team led by Rural SP Reshma Rameshan to probe the incident.

The police also lodged an FIR in this regard on the complaint of ECL management against the unidentified persons. In a related development, Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Singh visited the  site in Gopinathpur colliery and took details of the incident from the local residents, police officers as well as Eastern Coalfields Limited management.
