BJP blames Govt for power crisis

State BJP on Friday blamed the incumbent Govt for power crisis in the State. State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said when the BJP government was formed in the State then also the problem of huge amounts of power dues of DVC had surfaced. “In the year 2016 the Govt had paid an amount of Rs 4500 crores to DVC after a meeting at the Union Energy Minister. This amount included the dues of the 14 month long Govet led by Hemant Soren. Also, the BJP government was paying Rs 100 crore on an average every month to DVC,” he said.

Shahdeo said, “Hemant Govt had stopped all payments as soon as it came to power. This included the monthly dues of DVC. Despite repeated warnings of DVC the Hemant Govt did not start payments to DVC. On the contrary the stopped payments of contractors of building construction and road construction were started after liaisoning with them. The Cong and the Govt are diverting the attention of the people by cursing the old government for the current power crisis. They should resolve the issue without any delay. Blaming the old Govt for everything is petty politics.”
