BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain today said that the “biggest” political party in the world is aiming at securing 51 per cent votes in the 2019 general election to win maximum seats in several States. Talking to media persons during a personal visit to the State Capital here on Tuesday Hussain said that the NDA has good wishes of 23 crore beneficiaries of different welfare schemes being run by the Centre.
Hussain said that in 2014 there were four crore registered BJP members and now the figure has crossed nine crores. “We have verified nine crore members and 23 crore beneficiaries of various schemes run by the Narendra Modi government. These nine crore people are again spreading the message of development to the people. And, with this figure we are aiming at wining maximum seats in the 2019 elections under ‘Mission 51 per cent votes’. We will win most seats this time,” he said.
Taking a dig at the Opposition unity Hussain said that all the parties in the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ are there because of their self interests. “Most parties except the RJD and the NCP are there because of self interest. They do not like the Congress and will not support it in Assembly polls. In fact the whole Opposition unity is a farce,” he said.
Hussain further said that Congress president Rahul Gandhi is avoiding people’s queries in Amethi because he does not have anything to say. “By talking about Rafael deal he is trying to avoid the issues of the common man, who will give him apt reply in 2019 polls. However, his supporters are back there in Pakistan, who are saying that Rahul Gandhi will become PM in 2019. They should know that India is democratic country and here people elect the PM not the military of a secret service agency,” he added.
“The whole Opposition is saying remove Modi and the people of the country want Modi back in 2019. Congress went to the CAG but they did not wait for its report. The CAG report was the basis of Bofors scam. The Rafael deal is corruption free and is in full interest of the country.
