BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo launching a scathing attack on the State government, said that much of the promises of Chief Minister has remained as fake and hollow. He is unsuccessfully trying to confuse the public by making a series of announcements in the last few months of his tenure. Pratul said that the Chief Minister had announced the Abua Housing Scheme on August 15 itself, but till date, no clear mention has been made as to how the budget provision of Rs 15,000 crore will be made for this scheme.
Apparently, the Chief Minister is pretending to fulfil his promise in the last year of his tenure. But the public knows the reality, he said.
Pratul said that the Chief Minister started the Gram Gaadi Yojana in the same way had announced petrol subsidy. But its delivery mechanism was made so complicated that the beneficiaries could hardly get its benefits.
Pratul said that the Chief Minister had announced a subsidy of ₹25 per liter of petrol for the poor after spending crores of rupees on publicity. Within a few months, this announcement vanished and now the number of people taking advantage of it is negligible. Pratul challenged the government and said that the Chief Minister should release a month-wise list of people taking advantage of this subsidy.
Pratul said that this government is going to complete its four years. The first four years were spent only in corruption and plunder. Now seeing their imminent defeat in the elections, they are remembering the poor. But in these four years, the poor, tribals and indigenous people of Jharkhand have suffered a lot. The Chief Minister will get a befitting reply in the next elections.
