State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday alleged that the Opposition parties always keep quiet on the reservation issue of Sarna community in Scheduled Tribe category.
Attacking the Opposition parties, State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that out of total reservation of Scheduled Cast category in the class 1 and class 2 of Government’s job, 85 per cent goes to converted tribal. “Sarna Community of Scheduled Tribe, which propagates tradition of tribal only gets 15 per cent benefit in Government jobs. Surprisingly, leaders from Opposition parties keep quiet on the issue. Other than BJP, no political parties openly talk for Sarnas. When BJP talks for benefits of Sarnas, then these Opposition parties raise questions,” he added.
Hitting hard on Opposition parties, Shahdeo said that now the tribals have become aware about their rights and they will not come under opposition’s trap. The 65 plus target set by the National Democratic Alliance will be achieved, he added.
Appealing to the Opposition, Shahdeo said that they should leave negative politics. “The Government has done several welfare works but Opposition is always finding loopholes in it. People have given them befitting reply by giving thumping victory to Narendra Modi but the Opposition not learned yet and doing still politics of appeasement,” he added.
