In yet another expose against the family of former Chief Minister Shibu Soren, the State BJP on Wednesday came out with fresh documents of land deal where 1.51 acres of land piece at Govindpur in Dhanbad was illegally registered in the name of his three sons – Durga, Hemant and Basant Soren by violating CNT Act. State BJP Spokesperson JB Tubid and Vice President Aditya Sahu, talking to the media persons at BJP Headquarters in Ranchi said that the family acquired the land piece on a throw away price having its value in crore.

“Flirting the CNT, SPT Acts, the entire Soren family illegally looted the tribal land by violating CNT Act who have been terming the two land laws as the basic soul of Adivasi-Moolwasi population of the State,” said Tubid. Despite the fact that the market value of this land was in crores, they got it registered in merely Rs 2.75 lakh, he added.

Tubid further said that the land was registered it the year 2006 in the name of Durga Soren, Hemant Soren and Basant Soren and was located at the prime location of Govindpur in Dhanbad.

“The family has purchased the land by producing fake identity proofs posing themselves as a resident of Dhanbad,” said the Spokesperson. The land was purchased from a Scheduled Tribe family Nilu and Shambhu Marandi, he said.

The State BJP Spokesperson also alleged that the role of officers giving permission for the sale and purchase of the land piece was also doubtful and hence action must be taken against them as the whole episode was a violation of CNT Act.

“The Soren brothers have declared farming as their profession for purchasing the land piece,” Tubid added.

Earlier, a meeting of Jharkhand State Kisan Morcha was held headed by State Morcha President Jyotishwar Singh which was also taken part by BJP State General Secretary Deepak Prakash and General Secretary (Organization) Dharmapal Singh the members were asked to review the works done by them sub-division wise and help the benefits of government schemes reach out to the farmers.

“It is important for the expansion of the organization that the benefits of Government schemes reach out to the last persons sitting on the social strata,” said Prakash. All information related to the organization was also taken during the meeting.
