BJP leader Radha Krishna Kishore has come heavily on the Hemant Soren Government, its rural development department, and the district administration of Palamau for gross and blatant nepotism and favouritism in the allocation of houses under Indira Awaas yojana.
The issue has snowballed into a major political conflict and this matter is to reach the PMO soon.Palamu has been allocated 8001 dwellings under Indira Awaas yojana in the year 2014 -15. However there is the most apparent disparity in its allocation among the 20 blocks of the district.Except three blocks the other 17 blocks here are victims of administration’s disparity and inequality, Kishore alleged.Kishore read out the statistics straight from the records of DDC Palamu office to prove his point.
Rural development minister KN Tripathi represents Daltonganj Assembly constituency which comprises three major blocks in Palamu district Daltonganj, Chainpur, and Satbarwa which have got the lion’s share in the 8001 house allocation of Indira Awaas schemes said the BJP leader giving figures. 1,800, 5003 and 55 Indira Awaas have been allocated respectively to the blocks.
“Out of 8001 Indira Awaas 6,858 Indira Awaas goes to the minister’s constituency” he said. In the remaining 1143 Indira Awas the 17 other blocks out of 20 here in Palamu are to struggle and compete with each other and to remain contented with poor allocation as well, alleged the BJP leader.
