If dreams of Dreams Motorsports bikers were destined to come true, India is going to have a biker group attempting more than 20 world records in one expedition within a year. Dreams Motorsports Private limited, a brainchild of three youngsters heartily very close to the city, have officially started inviting over 250 bikers from the State and rest part of the earth to be a part of the journey which is scheduled to start from Delhi sometime in next July only to return with basket of records.
Rohan Singh, Anam Hashim and Sourav Kumar-the Founder trio of Dreams Motorsports Private limited-said during divulging the expedition plans that the event was open to all. “The organisation has been started to bring changes in the field of motorsports in India, a field which has largely been left neglected. Apart from a few Metropolitan cities like Pune and Bangluru, riders and bikers from other cities are struggling to showcase their skills in absence of a platform like we have decided to provided,” said Roshan Singh, who has explored more than 19 states in India on bike.
Anam Hasim, The Freestyle Biker of the Year in 2013 at the age of 18, will lead the ride which will start from Delhi to Khardung la and return to Delhi after some 22 days. She said that the expedition would also encourage as many female bikers as possible. “They need not be a professional biker. I have led a team of 10 girls to Khardung la this year, in which eight didn’t know how to drive a scooty before we trained them for the trip. In this trip also, we primarily want enthusiasts to join us,” added Hashim.
Sourav Kumar said that the aspirants needed to register first, which has been opened today only. “We are inviting aspirants to register with a registration fee ranging from ` One to ` 1,100. After selection, they will have to pay a minimum of ` 75,000 and maximum of ` 1.25 lakh against their training and other expenses of the trip including fooding to lodging and medical assistance to mechanical assistance in need. For foreign bikers, this fee would be $4,000 each. However, we are open for a waiver for extra enthusiast and in special cases,” said Kumar.
