Claiming that BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s rally in Ranchi will be historical, State BJP president Ravindra Rai said on Friday that it will be one of the biggest rallies in the nation in terms of people taking part in it as compared to the overall ratio of the State. Rai also said that the people are quite enthusiastic to hear Modi’s speech during the rally.

“It appears that it is not a party rally but a public rally where people across the party lines are eager to take part in it on Sunday to hear our leader,” said Rai. Huge crowd are to assemble on the venue ground which itself will be creating history for the State, he added. To make it easy for those who want to take part in the rally, five trains have been booked by the State BJP to ferry the crowd from all over the State to Ranchi Station and back to their places.

“Trains starting from Sahebganj, Chakulia, Nuamundi, Doehghar and Garhwa have been booked to ferry people who are coming for the rally on Sunday,” said Rai. According to Rai, this is for the first time that so many trains have been booked for ferrying the people coming for the rally. As many as 50,000 people will reach Ranchi on Saturday, one day in advance and adequate arrangements have been done for their fooding and lodging.

A pool of over 20,000 vehicles are also expected to reach Ranchi on Sunday, hence Modi is being taken to the venue by a chopper instead of being taken by the road. Rai has appealed to those coming for the rally to carry a bottle of water with them as it will not be possible for them to arrange bottles for all of them. “Although, 5 lakh water pouches have been arranged for the crowd, they are also suggested to carry a bottle of water with them for their convenience,” he said.

Rai said that no any other instance of taking part by such a large number of people voluntarily in a rally was never seen anywhere in the Country. To deal with any untoward situation during the rally, a medical camp has also been organised at the rally ground where a team of 40 doctors, including 5 female doctors, who will be available there  from 9am to 4 pm on Sunday. “A medical team comprising doctors from every renowned hospital in Ranchi will be available on the rally ground with 25 ambulances 3 mobile medical units along with medical and paramedical staff to cope up with any casualty during the rally,” said State co-coordinator of BJPs Medical cell Dr JC Ram.

Earlier, addressing media persons separately BJP MP from Godda Nishikant Dubey expressed apprehension over seriousness of the State Government in providing security to Narendra Modi. “Situation in Deoghar is the ramification of what is happening in Jharkhand. Seven labourers have been abducted and neither the Chief Minister, nor the Chief Secretary, nor the Home Secretary is speaking against it. DGP is saying operation is on. The facts are relevant when there have been established links of Patna blast from Ranchi. I apprehend that the action can be repeated in Ranchi as well,” said Dubey, adding that he had no faith of the State Government.

At the same time the MP also demanded proper arrangement for security for the party workers coming to attend the December 29 rally. He also termed Jharkhand as experimental case for the BJP prime ministerial candidate. “Jharkhand is a perfect experimental case where corruption, inflation, petty politics on domicile issue and naxal menace is on its top. At this time, visit of Narendra Modi is a good sign for the State,” said the MP. He expressed hope that the rally would break all previous records and remain historic in many terms in the political annals of the State. He also criticised Hemant Soren Government for unclear stand on domicile policy and demanded a cut-off date from November 15, 2000.
