Road to equality for Bhartiya Janta Party’s (BJP) Women wing seems to be full of challenges that they need to overcome to reach the goal and stand matching their shoulders with the male leaders who had so far dominated the politics.

To make the party’s fairer sex learn political traits and receive overwhelming support from them in the upcoming assembly election a two-day training programme by state BJP concluded today.

BJP veteran leader Devdas Apte speaking on the occasion said, “Efforts will be made to implement 33 per cent reservation for women in the upcoming assembly election.”

However, responding to the query on women candidate not getting ticket in the recently held parliamentary election he further added, “Jharkhand’s women are not capable enough to lead and that is why they do not get tickets.”

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda’s wife Meera Munda encouraging the women effort in ensuring party’s victory in the recently held parliamentary election said, “This time all possible efforts will be made to ensure that women candidates also get ticket for contesting in the Assembly election.”

Highlighting the basic purpose behind organizing this training programme for the female workers leader of the BJP Women wing Mridula Sinha said, “The basic objective of this training programme is to prepare women for politics. Women should understand their role in the party and also how to earn recognition as a leader.”

BJP Women wing President Usha Pandey said, “The training was proved really effective for us. We came to know about weakness and how to overcome out of it.”
