The Bharatiya Suraaj Dal (BSD), a newly set-up political organisation waiting for registration from the Election Commission of India, is already making a foray into the public psyche here.
It has devised a new strategy — no public stir, no street show but a silent work . And the work is to clean 10 toilets! This is for those members who want to be upgraded in the first inner circle of this party. The idea of cleaning 10 toilets may sound strange and grotesque but deep within it is a social message.
People with clean image and commitment to deliver are the first choice of this party which angles to contest the coming Vidhan Sabha election here. The party wants people who have attained the age of even 40 as their energy does not sink. Its big face is PK Siddharth, a former IPS officer, who had had his tenure here in Palamu as its SP and his handling of Naxalism then had a blending of toughness and understanding both as in his time had come the then dreaded TADA.
Siddharth is BDS’s chief and with him is his general secretary KK Gupta. The BDS chief says people may find the toilet cleaning mission as bizarre but what of that as our own Sardar Bhallabh Bhai Patel had this for him and for his workers. What if one does not do this to which, Siddharth said, “Then read the autobiography of Bapu and then answer the queries.” This former IPS officer, known for his integrity and hard work as SP Palamu, treats Palamu as his source of inspiration.
He said. “Palamu is different. Here there is the encounter with truth at the very first stage. One can have enormous of life and its challenges here.” About parallelism of BDS with AAm Admi Party he said prima facie it does appear as Aam Admi Party too had first taken up cudgel for the public issues then it turned into a semi political organisation and then won 22 seats in Delhi Assembly. About any alliance with regional arty here in Jharkhand for the coming Assembly election. he said, “Abhi Aisi mansha nahi hai.” But clean people with good image will be with us he reiterated.
