The whole business of these quacks runs with the help of middlemenand and agents. You can see their agents in Sadar Hospital and near the clinics of those doctors who have good practice. Villagers are the first target of these agents.
Normally these quacks have knowledge of first aid and home nursing only. The medical representatives increase their knowledge about medicines and diseases. Most of such quacks were previously with some doctors as their assistants and after gaining some idea of treatment they have started their own shop.
In town area these quacks don’t take any risk and when they see that the condition is going beyond control they refer the patients but in village areas either due to fear of villagers or due to lust of money they even take risk of performing surgeries. You can go through several news of death of patients due to wrong treatment by such quacks in the local newspapers in every now and then.
When asked about such fake doctors Civil Surgeon Vinay Kumar said that the department has no list of such quacks. However he assured that his department will make a survey and then the clinics of these Munna quacks will be closed.
In the rural areas of entire state there is shortage of doctors. The real MBBS Doctors do not want to go into the remote areas. The quacks are taking advantage of this situation.
