'Betrayed' BJP predicts early collapse of Govt

As the Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in the floor test at Jharkhand Assembly, the BJP activists led by senior leaders Saryu Roy, Dineshanand Goswami and Amarpreet Singh Kale squatted at Sakchi roundabout to protest the formation of new Government.

The BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar observed 'Betrayal Day' on Thursday against the formation of the new Government, accusing JMM and Congress of cobbling up an alliance with the support of tainted MlAs. Over 100 party activists took part in the demonstration. "JMM has betrayed the people of Jharkhand to form the Government. The alliance has been made to fulfill hidden agenda of loot and plunder. Our party workers are observing protest day across the State against the way the Government was formed with the support of tainted and charge-sheeted MlAs," said Dineshanand Goswami, former State BJP president.

He said that JMM and Congress alliance is based on money and manipulation and the BJP will protest till Assembly is dissolved and fresh elections are called. The leader also claimed that the Government will soon topple of its own. Senior leader Saryu Roy noted that the Hemant Soren led Government would be a repeat of the coalition Government formed in 2006, when Independent MlA Madhu Koda manipulated his power and committed multi crore iron ore scam. He went on to add that the alliance is anti-democratic and such a Government could never deliver as the leaders would be more interested in serving their own interest rather than that of the people.

Expressing shock over the political alliance between Congress and JMM State BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale noted that the Government is based on manipulations and money power and such a government could not serve the people of the state. He went on to add that the Congress was also trying to repeat the same episode and bow down the state in corruption again. BJP, however, will not allow this to happen and will continue to demand immediate dissolution of the assembly to pave way of fresh elections.
