An 11-year-old girl child was brutally murdered shaking the town on Saturday. The incident during Ramzan has led angry residents to demand the arrest of the culprits as soon as possible.
On Friday night, the beheaded body was found from the house of Mehrunisa, wife of Md Khalil, on Pelawal-Gadokhar Road behind Pelawal Outpost. Police have taken Mehrunisa into custody and are investigating the matter.The residents of Pelawal say that Mehrunisa has always been a suspicious character. Her real name is lata Rani Sharma, wife of Ganesh Rana of Romi Village, who left her husband and married Md. Khalil and her name was changed to Mehrunisa. About one year back Md. Khalil also left her and sold the house. But she is still living there, locals say.
Mehrunisa accepts it and said that the new owner of this house is Md. Dawood of Katkamsandi, he has not paid the full amount yet so she has not handed over the house to him. Though she had given a room to Dawood in which he occasionally stays. She informed that the girl was her maid, last night Dawood came and asked for a glass of water. The child went to her room since Mehrunisa was busy. After a while she heard a scream and came out of the house to inform the people. In the meantime Md. Dawood has gone back locking his room.
With some people she went to the Pelawal Police Outpost and informed about the whole incident. When police team broke the lock, beheaded dead body of the girl was found. The parents of the girl are blaming Mehrunisa and on their statement police has taken her in custody and searching Md. Dawood, who is abscoding.
