Our culture is in danger, our identity is in danger and it is the prime time, so be united to save the identity. This was the call of MlA Mandar Bandhu Tirkey to the members of Aadivasi community which he made in his speech as chief guest of World Aadivasi Day function organised by Aadivasi Chhatra Sangh in the Town Hall of Hazaribagh on Saturday.
Bandhu Tirkey openly said that in Jharkhand the outsiders are looting the lands and job opportunities. Besides this a conspiracy is also going on here to divert our youth from our culture. We are getting cheated and defeated again and again because we lack unity.
Guest of honour, Bishop Anand Jojo stressed upon the need of education for the development of tribal communities. In his address he advised every tribal youth to go through the books related with their history and culture. Only education has the power to save you from exploitation, he added.
SDO Hazaribagh Jugnu Minj also advocated about the need of education. In his address he said that it is the duty of educated persons of the society to save the interests of peasants, small traders, labors who belong to our community. In his message to youths he said that education is the weapon which will make you more strong and confident.
On Saturday, August 9, the Aadivasi Chhatra Sangh of Hazaribagh organised a special program in the town hall which was presided over by Sushil Odaiya. In the program local youths of the community presented an attractive cultural show.
