Chief Minister Hemant Soren blamed the system’s reluctance to be friendly with technology and called it necessary for taking advantages to the common man.

Speaking at the workshop on Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) on Tuesday the CM also questioned the intention of bureaucracy in this matter. “Does a private company have IAS and IPS officers and competent persons like we have in the GovernmentIJ Even then we are not able to drive the vehicle efficiently. I cannot understand why there is delaying tactics all over the place,” said the CM.

He called on the Deputy Commissioners and senior officials coming from various districts of the State for adopting latest techniques so that greater deal of result can be achieved with more benefits to the last man standing. He also rapped bankers for just building their accounts and not delivering benefits to people smoothly.

“Banks are interested to show their bosses that they have great balance at their branches. They come to us and want to get department’s fund as deposits. This is not a fair approach,” added the CM. He stressed on better implementation of DBT so that benefits can reach to bottom without pilferage.
