Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar has instructed all the BDOs of the district to give special attention to the payment of VAT by the contractors who have already received payments for the works allotted to them. The DC was reviewing the progress of MNREGA and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes on Friday.
He also directed the officials to complete the pending schemes of 2006-2011 in a mission mode and to report on those projects which can be closed. He directed the BDOs of Daru and Chouparan to complete the MB work for about 70% within two days.
The DC ordered to issue show cause notice to the executive engineer of special division who was not present in the meeting. He also directed to issue show cause notices to the BDOs of Barkattha and Vishnugarh asking why the approved schemes were not completed yet. Regarding DBT he instructed everyone to make entries everyday so that the district can be in a position to deliver economic benefits to the citizens directly in their bank accounts.
