Barnwal orders action against Pakur BPO

Published on:

Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal today ordered to file certificate case against Block Programme Officer of Amarapara, Pakur Gautam Kumar and send him to jail for his alleged involvement in siphoning off Rs 5 lakh in a pond construction work.  An FIR has already been lodged in the case against Kumar. Barnwal ordered action against the BPO in the weekly review meeting of CM Jan Samvad here on Tuesday in the presence of IPRD Director RP Gupta.

In a complaint of one Chandrakala Devi of Ranchi that her neighbor has captured her land the Secretary took it seriously and asked officials to depute a magistrate to free the land.  In a complaint regarding setting up of electricity pole above a house in East Singhbhum district the Secretary ordered the executive engineer to raise the height of the pole and install guard wire. He also asked to send notice through panchayat as to how a house is being built below the 11,000 volt wire.

In a case of West Singhbhum district pertaining to missing employee of Food Corporation of India Gopal Prasad since August 30, 2016, Barnwal expressed anguish and asked the SP to submit investigation progress report in every fortnight.

The Secretary asked Women and Child Development Department and Food and PDS Department Nodal officers to inform their department secretaries about problems being faced in addressing complaints of Jan Samvad at the earliest so that he can put forth the matter before Chief Minister in the Seedhi Baat programme.

The performance of East Singhbhum, Godda and Pakur districts is not satisfactory in solving cases under Jan Samvad. Barnwal gave some time to the nodal officers of the districts to improve the status. Expressing discontent over the slow pace of solving matters of Jan Samvad in Godda district Barnwal asked the nodal officer to apprise the DC that he will answer the CM on what grounds the complaints have not been solved timely and performance has dipped.
