Vice chairman of 20 point programme implementation committee of Palamu Bipin Bihari Singh has taken a strong note of banks’ lackadaisical attitude towards the sanctioning and disbursement of loans under PM Mudra Yojna.
Singh said, “Banks are too slow. They are doing all to fail the Mudra Yojna. loan aspirants are being harassed. The processing is most delayed. We will not allow this to happen. The role of the banks is most negative here.”
Veteran BJP leader and State member of this committee Shyam Narain Dubey said the role of the banks here needs to be monitored and watched in the larger interest of the people who want to have Mudra Yojna loan.
On the issue of crisis of sand coming in the way of construction of houses under PM Awas Yojna Gramin Singh had to face a difficult situation from his own senior member of the committee Amleshwar Dubey who (Dubey) wanted to know the price of sand now wherein Singh said circle officers in Palamu are to ensure availability of sand for PMAYG houses construction. Sources said sand price per tractor has gone up to 1000 to 1100 from Rs 700.
Bipin Bihari Singh had to literally ask Dubey not to cause him discomfort as Dubey is known for straight talk. Singh said, “Palamu has topped in the Ujjawala Yojna in the state where so far 81,674 gas stove with all necessary accessories like regulator and gas cylinders have been distributed.”
He credited this success to his team of this committee down to the block level too. He said the committee will sit with various gas agencies to find out what more should be done here in this Ujjawala Yojna.

On the issue of paddy procurement here in Palamu Singh said the procurement process is to be freed of middlemen as these middlemen are eating into the benefits of the paddy farmers.
He said, “I have taken feedbacks from my chairman/ vice chairman of the block level 20 point programme implementation committees and all have expressed their opinion that farmers’ interest in paddy sale must be protected.”
Senior BJP leader Amleshwar Dubey said, “Farmers who sell 50 quintals of paddy in procurement centres should be asked not to take ration from public distribution shops and those foodgrains be kept for the poor and the needy.”
Dubey wanted others to support him but he was alone in his demand to exclude rich farmers from taking subsidized rations from PDS. On the issue of Poshahar for Aagan badi kendras which is sold in the market for cattle feeding Bipin Bihari Singh said this practice will be curbed with heavy hands.
