Cash crunch pressure did not come to grip the customers of the Central Bank Of India here in Daltonganj and at Rehla as this bank has just two branches in Palamu having a population of more than 19 lakhs!
Sources said this bank did not run short of cash on any day since November 10 as on November 8 Prime Minister had announced the invalidity of Rs500 and Rs1, 000 denomination currency notes and November 9 was declared an impromptu bank holiday all over the country.
Sources said the Regional Manager (RM) of this bank JR Daroch on Friday December 16 visited Daltonganj branch of Central Bank Of India and took stock of the money matters here.
The RM Daroch spoke to some customers also on this occasion and took the feed back from them regarding any harassment or inconvenience coming over to them said a senior bank official Mitra Da who said “This branch of us just worked hard to be with our customers in a very tight situation here.” He said “We expect new bank account holders as customers of other banks have expressed their desire to get attached to this branch now.”
Asked if this branch in Daltonganj or at Rehla ever ran dry on any day since November 10 Mitra Da and the assistant branch manager T Tomsay said the flow of cash was always here for the customers and these two officials appreciated the concern of their RM Daroch who as said Mitra Da saw that Daltonganj branch and Rehla branch would never be allowed to run dry for want of cash and it would be treated at par with other branches located in Ranchi Jamshedpur or other big places here in the State.
