The first youth forum for the Bengali community of the State, Bangalee Yuva Manch, celebrated its first foundation day ceremony on Sunday.
Eminent artist Hare Thakur, author Mahua Maji and several other eminent personalities form the Bengali community were present for the ceremony. Also names of ad-hoc committee office bearers for the forum were also announced.
In the primary stage, the group has decided to work on three objectives, to help the children belonging to poor section of the society in getting quality education, to find out those needy people who cannot avail good medical facilities due to poverty and provide them with the required medical services and lastly, to help those families, financially and otherwise, who could not get a suitable groom for their daughters due to lack of money.
