Ahead of the State-wide bandh called by tribal organisations to oppose the recently announced Domicile Policy, Ranchi district administration has imposed Section 144 in the city on orders from Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar.
Orders have been issued to arrest hoodlums creating nuisance or robbing stores without delay. More than 100 magistrates and 2,000 police men will be deployed across the city to ward off any untowardly incident. Birsa Munda Football Stadium has been selected as camp prison to house the arrest bandh supporters. Adequate force has also been deployed in the rural areas of Ranchi.
