The Bahuda Yatra (return chariot procession) of Lord Jagannath was celebrated in Bokaro Steel City with the same zeal and devotion as the earlier Rath Yatra. The divine idols were ceremonially brought out from the temple premises and seated on the chariot amid traditional rituals and prayers.
The sacred ritual of chhera-panhara (cleaning of the chariot) was performed by C.R. Mahapatra, Executive Director (Works), BSL. Members of Bokaro Mahila Samiti, prominent citizens, and a large number of devotees were present on the occasion.
The return journey began from the Ram Mandir complex in Sector -1, with the active participation of local residents and devotees, who contributed voluntarily throughout the route as a mark of devotion. The chariot procession passed through Patharkatta Chowk, Gandhi Chowk City Centre, and Bokaro General Hospital before reaching the Jagannath Temple.
Members of the Bokaro Mahila Samiti, along with other local organizations, distributed water and sherbet along the route, providing much-needed relief to devotees during the yatra.
