We have requested the Union Government to transfer the sanctioned amount so that the work can begin fast," said Das.
While addressing the membership drive meeting Das appealed the people, especially youth to join the saffron party by accepting the party's primary membership. He said that every party MlA has been asked to ensure membership of 50,000 people each and they must work in this regard.
Notably, the BJP has launched a fresh membership drive across the district. The party is planning to include 50 lakh members in its fold by the end of March this year. The membership drive is part of a huge campaign of the party, which has set a target of 10 crore members in the country.
A local party leader said initially people would be given primary membership. Thereafter, details of the member would be sent at the block-level for scrutiny for verifying credential of the member . One can become an active member of the party after remaining primary member for two years.
