A team of Jharkhand Backward Classes Commission on Thursday held meetings with district administrative officials in view of demands for inclusion of communities in extremely backward class category. led by chairman of the commission Justice (retired) loknath Prasad, member secretary Kamal John lakra and member Kamlesh Keshav Mahto, the team arrived at Jamshedpur from Chaibasa and conducted meetings at Circuit House. The commission members met the Jamshedpur BDO Parul Singh and land revenue deputy collector (lRDC) East Singhbhum Akhilesh Kumar at the Circuit House.
The chairman loknath Prasad said that there have been demands over inclusion of some communities following which they have called a meeting on Thursday.
“People from Barhai and Tamoli communities had come before the commission few months back expressing a need for representation in Government jobs and educations and sought inclusion in extremely backward class category in OBC,” said the chairman.
