Former Jharkhand Governor Prabhat Kumar alongwith his team of resource personnel has been teaching administrative tricks to the officials of State Administrative Services in Jharkhand. A five-day training programme by Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha Department in association with IC Centre of Governance, New Delhi, on ‘Ethics in Public Administration’ was inaugurated at the Judicial Academy in Ranchi on Monday.

This is the first occasion for the State Administrative Services officials that they are being provided training during their service period as such programmes were being organized so far only for the officials of Indian Administrative Services. “The officers are being trained to incorporate human approach in the administration besides bringing transparency in it,” said Joint Secretary in Food and Civil Supplies Department Alok Trivedi. It is good not for officers only but for every individual, he added.

Trivedi said that lectures were delivered by Prabhat Kumar, Dilip Patil and few others on Monday.

Another official said termed the training programme beneficial for increasing efficiency of an officer and administration as a whole.

Objective of the training programme was to increase their personnel efficiency and also to strengthen administrative efficiency, he added.

“The training programme also intends to provide ethics and cleanliness in administration,” said the official.
