An awareness campaign-cum-farmers’ fair was organised at Naxal-affected area Kisko under the programme Prime Minister crop insurance scheme at Agricultural Science center. MoS Rural development Sudarshan Bhagat was the chief guest and special guest was MlA Sukhdeo Bhagat.
On the occasion Sudarshan Bhagat said, “Around 80 per cent farmers depend on agriculture here. But they have to face the loss due to hailstorms, excessive rain or drought. Farmers are the producer of crops. If they live happily, our country would be prosperous. They must adopt scientific ways of agriculture.”
MlA Sukhdeo Bhagat said, “Govt runs many plans for farmers. They must take advantages of theses plans. They also use biological eco friendly manures.”
Before it the fair was inaugurated by the chief guest and the special guest.
Many stalls were exhibited on the occasion. The farmers were also felicitated for good yields. On the occasion agricultural scientists and many others were present.
