Bokaro Steel Plant (BSl) bagged seven awards and made a place in the tally covering its 16 Employees in National Suggestion Summit— Indian National Suggestion Schemes National Suggestion Summit (INSSAN)-2013 held at New Delhi
BSl had sent a team of 31 members in INSSAN-2013. JP Bhagat, DGM Steel Foundry and Pattern Shop received the shield on behalf of the BSl. Apart from this, BSl also made its presence felt in different award categories. The Eminent suggestors of Corporate India award was presented to three groups from HRCF, General Maintenance (Mechanical) and Heavy Maintenance (Mechanical). To be nominated in this category, an individual should be a PM ‘Shram Awardee’ or a Vishwakarma Awardee, officials said.
The Par Excellence Award for Case Study on Diversion of HR Plate due to length Variation in Shearing line was conferred on the HRCF Team. The Merit Award for Case Study on Increase in the reliability and Availability of clean coke oven gas Compressor supplying High Pressure CO gas for Scarfing was awarded to the EMD group. Excellence Award for Technical Paper, an Award given to Individuals for their Creativity and innovativeness on Igniting Minds for Institutionalization of Creativity was bagged by CS Kumar, Assistant Manager of General Maintenance (Mech) and Saurabh Singh, Jr. Mgr of EMD. The Excellence Award in Slogan or Poster Category went to lV Singh, Operative from (Coke Ovens and BPP) and Sanjeet Kumar Singh, Khalasi from (HRCF), official said.
“INSSAN is a body dedicated to the promotion of Employee Involvement through Suggestionsor Ideas. It invites entries from different organisations for technical Papers, Case Studies, Slogans and Posters. This Year, 375 delegates from various PSU’s and other Private organisations had sent their entries. A total of about 110 Case Studies were presented during the Summit”, added the official.
