Reacting sharply on former CM Hemant Soren’s remarks that removal of Article 370 of Constitution and partition of Jammu and Kashmir will weaken the federal structure of the country, State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo today said that the brave step of the Centre will strengthen the democracy because now all states will have equal rights. Shahdeo said that the BJP has been moving forward with one country, one Constitution, one sign and one flag ever since the time of Jansangh.
He said that the JMM is unable to digest the issue as it can neither protest against the feelings of the whole country, nor it can go against the language of big brother Congress. The JMM has revealed its real face by protesting against the historic step.
Pratul said that it is absolutely wrong on the part of JMM to say that formation of new State without legislative Assembly’s consent in unconstitutional. The fact remains that they are making unfounded allegations. In the better linterest of the country, they should avoid making such statements.
He said that the JMM leaders should fix their memory because when Jharkhand was formed, the Bihar Assembly had opposed the Bill at the time. Nevertheless, the Center had decided form Jharkhand State despite the opposition as per the provisions of the Constitution.
There is President’s Rule in Jammu and Kashmir, and according to Constitutional provisions, there is no justification for the opinion of the Assembly.
All the leaders of the JMM know that they are going to be washed away.
Therefore, they are giving unrestrained statements to trick the public.
