The CPI (Maoist) are having their week-long martyrs day till August 3 while one splinter group, the PLFI, is labouring to recruit young and unsuspecting people in its fold, said sources.
Well-placed sources in the police headquarters said the Simdega police in Jharkhand nabbed two PLFI ultras who were alleged to be out for recruitment of young, jobless blood in their outfit only to get caught by the Simdega police.
Police sources said the depletion in the number of cadres in the dreaded Maoist outfit down to the splinter groups like that of the PLFI has forced the naxal outfits to bring in youngsters in the outfit.
Police sources said this is no less a worrisome situation for them since any lateral or direct entry of the youth in the naxal outfit will mean a swell of the outfit.
A press note of the media cell of the Simdega police read that under order of the SP Simdega Shams Tabrez police there nabbed two PLFI ultras identified as Rinku Sahu alias Babu 21 and Binod Pyke alias Pandit 20 who were trying to woo or induct new recruits in the naxal outfit there.
