Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda writing a letter to Governor Syed Ahmed has expressed concern over calling the Budget Session for merely 13 days during which the Members will not be able to put the demands of the people of the State. The letter also said that the Government, neglecting the question of public interest, is also defying the democratic values and Parliamentary parameters.
“The budget session has been called for only 13 days where the debate on demand for grants will be done only for 6 days which is not sufficient,” said Munda. According to the schedule there will be no question hour on March 7 and very less time has been allotted for the debate on the speech of the Governor. Moreover, 13 days will not be sufficient for the budget session where debate on several important issues is to be done. Munda, in his letter calling the Governor as a constitutional and parliamentary guardian, has requested the Governor to look into the matter seriously.
