Union Minister for Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar said on Wednesday that another steel plant in Jharkhand, for which processes are already on in consultation with the State Government, will be established soon. Citing examples of (United States of) America and (Republic of) China, he said that the development of any country is closely

associated with the development of steel sector, and Governments in the State and Centre are working hard to give this sector a booster doze, which has been in pressure for some reasons from a couple of years now.

Speaking in Ranchi chapter of Vikas Parv, a multi-city programme organised to spread the achievements of two successful years of BJP Government at the Centre, Tomar came down heavily on second term of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) under Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said that the country was under dense fog of disappointment at that time. He said that youth were jobless, corruption was on its all-time high, situation of indecision prevailed in each and every department and the whole environment was extremely gloomy.

"But once Narendra Modi was handed over the regime in May 2014, situation changed completely and the world started looking at India with a different eye. Our visionary PM ideated a platform of more than 120 countries of the world where sun shines for more than 300 days in a year, for production of solar energy, and called all those countries Suryaputras," Tomar said.

Describing plans like Pradhanmanti Mudra Yojna under which a total of Rs. 1.41 lakh crores of loan has been disbursed to 3.41 lakh individuals without any collateral; Pradhanmanti Krishi Beema Yojna under which farmers are now getting actual compensation against their destroyed crops due to heavenly reasons; Give Up Subsidy under which 1.2 crore individuals have given up subsidies on their lPG connection resulting in more than one crore new lPG connection to the poor and deprived by now; and Skill India to name a few, Tomar said that this Government at the Centre is determined to involve more and more people in Governance system to help society as a whole to grow. He also praised the State Government for taking development programmes in the State ahead in a healthy pace.

Earlier in the day, Tomar participated in Vikas Parv organised in Ormanjhi (Ranchi), where he was accompanied by former CM Arjun Munda, Minister for Social Justice in Union Cabinet Krishnapal Gurjar, National Secretary of BJP H Raja, lok Sabha MP from Ranchi Ram Tahal Choudhary and many MlAs from Jharkhand among others.
