Even as the search operation in connection with recently serial blast and fierce encounter between the Maoists and the police near Topchachi, yet another encounter was reported between police and Maoists in Denga pahari section of the forests located on the borders of the Giridih and Dhanbad district ,police sources said .
A joint team of Giridih police and 124th battalion of CRPF unit raided the Denga pahari forest area under the Parasnath police station on Wednesday afternoon. The security forces in an hour –long encounter with CPI(Maoists).
This is the second incident during the last one week .This too is without casualty on the side of the police.
In the encounter between the security forces and Naxals heavy shelling has been reported from both sides .
Police sources said that the police,CRPF teams started raiding the Denga pahari forest area from the early hours of Wednesday.
As the police team approaches the Denga pahari hills ,the Maoists camping atop it happened to spot the security forces.
Seeing the security forces the Maoists opened fire,in retaliation when the security forces opened fire ,the Naxals retreat taking advantage of forested and hilly
terrain.
Meanwhile ,on being informed ,teams of neighboring police stations laid ambush and waited to trap the retreating Naxal
contingent .
However, the Maoists proved smarter and fled towards forest side ,sources said .
