The Year 2013 is in its fall and the amusement parks in the city have started up the preparations for the grand welcome of New Year. City’s recreational parks become main attraction for people on the Eve of New Year celebrations. Host of activities and programmes have been charted out for the New Year revelries in most of the parks in the city.
“We will have a special programme on the 31st night to say Good Bye to 2013.This New Year we are coming up with the 14 edition of our carnival series. The six days carnival festival will start from 28th December and will continue up till 2nd January. The carnival show will be from 10:30 am till 9:30 at night. The concept for this Carnival is Fun and Frolic,” said Aqua World owner Pratul Shahdeo explaining about the scheduled programmes for the celebrations of the New Year.
“We are working on the theme of interactive entertainment. We have chosen this theme to make the carnival programmes more entertaining. There will be Fashion shows, eating competition, dance competition, for couples there will be special made for each other show. There will be competition and entertainment for every age group,” he added.
The parks in the city are all set to offer maximum entertainment to their visitors.
Rock Garden Manager, Ramadhar Singh also informed about the preparations at the park for the New Year celebrations. “Apart from the usual fun themes set up at the park we are trying to come up with something new this time for the coming New Year 2014. We have called the event planners to discuss the arrangements with them. Our new year programme will start from 25th of December and will continue for the whole month of January.”
“Along with the fun and entertainment a large variety of delicacies will also be available here. Visitors will not have to go outside for food. On the eve of New Year we have planned to come up with a food portal in the garden itself which will include Indian, Chinese and continental cuisines,” he further said.
According to a staff of Chotanagpur Fun Castle at Ratu, “The New Year functions will start from the last week of December. like every year this year also we will come up with Orchestra, Dance and the entire entertainment package for the visitors.” “I am excited for the coming New Year. And I am just waiting for the New Year bash with friends. So I am on a hunt for the place which will offer more entertaining programmes,” said, Aamna a resident of Upper Bazaar.
