Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare directed all departments to provide information about autonomous authorities working under them, boards, corporations and PMUs to the Finance Department in the light of budget making for Financial Year 2017-18. He has demanded information regarding the number of staff and officers, subsidy, grants received from the state government, work edited last year and funds deposited with the banks under different schemes.
Khare said on Tuesday that this has been done to review the financial functionality of different boards and corporations. Mostly boards and corporations depend on the State Government.
for their financing and many of them are having scope for financial reorganization. All departments have been asked to provide this information by December 15, 2016.
He said that department wise review will be done from 7 to 16 December 2016 so that the suggestions received in the pre-budget seminars can be incorporated in the next budget.
